MLK Day

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Today we celebrate the great things Martin Luther King Jr. has done for the future of America & his impact all over the world. I thought that it would be great if I highlighted the clothing of the fashion during the Civil Rights Movement. Even though it had its terribly sad moments, it was still a great decade for fashion.

Her 1 strip of silver in her hair. =]

This is an outfit that came from
Africa, named the dashiki.

I Love Mrs. King's hair hat or
do-dad, lol whatever it is I want one.

Look at these cuties. One reason why I chose this pic is because of there cute little afros. They look like they maybe doing some type of little dance. They are in their own little world and may not know what is going on.

One thing that I love about celebrating MLK Day is that you remember that he fought for the rights of every color. For us all to one day live together in peace & to maybe marry their true love whatever color they are.
Many people forget or may just didn't think that he had any part in fighting for other races but If you didn't know he did. Something for you to think about whether you knew this or not.
1] The inhabitants of the world all came from the mother land Africa. #ProvenFact
2] Anyone who is African American, Pacific Islander, Native American, Indian, Asian, Puerto Rican, Mexican, Brazilian, African etc. is considered Black and/or a person of color.
I've actually heard a Indian woman say that she is not only Asian but a person of color. Sometimes we don't always put things in perspective on who is a person of color, sometimes we only see African Americans as a person of color
[At least that's how it is here in the States]

But I am happy that he came and made a difference in people's lives and not only here in America but all over the world.
